The Rock River Water Reclamation District protects public health and the environment through innovative and cost-effective wastewater and solid waste management.

Our 1,100 mile-long network of buried sewers moves wastewater from residences, industrial sites and other businesses to our treatment plant where we convert waste into resources such as recycled water, energy and recycled materials.

At our plant, our team of skilled technicians uses the most modern equipment available to reclaim our communities’ wastewater and to meet the sanitation needs of the Rockford area. Our fully-equipped sampling group works with industry to help businesses meet water quality standards. Our utility crews maintain and repair sewers and equipment.
