Why does nature look so magical?

Rime ice forms in dense freezing fog, like we experienced the last couple of nights. Supercooled water in the fog (water that is still liquid) freezes on contact with surfaces and turns to ice. Rime ice can often look like fragile, spiky ice needles close up.

Share your pictures of the rime ice morning in the comments!
