Zoom Lunch Lectures

Join Midway Village Museum staff and local historians for interesting presentations over your lunch hour via Zoom. These programs are open to all, and free as a benefit to our Midway Village Museum members. Sock Monkey History - first lecture in the series!

Some people find them cute, others find them creepy. Everyone either had one, or has a parent or grandparent that did. The Sock Monkey is internationally recognized. But few people know of its tie to Rockford. At this presentation you will learn how this simple sock was an important part in the development of the city of Rockford and its last legacy.

Non-Member Cost:

If you are not a Museum Member, the cost is $7 per person, per lecture, and you may call the museum to register at 815-397-9912 or go to the museum's website at www.midwayvillage.com.
